Nuno Felted Scarf Workshop with Waldorf trained Barbara Kuehn

Join us at Willow Grove Traditional Art School for Part 2 of the 2 part workshop series on Dying and Felting with local fibre artist Barbra Kuehn.

Barbara first started dying with plants in 2008 when her first child was born. In her quest to have natural clothing for her new baby she started dying wool and silk to knit baby clothes. Later on she became a part of a wool group at the Waldorf school in Switzerland where she learned new techniques and skills in felting and the world of natural dyes.

Barbra gained much experience by doing and really likes the full circle of her craft; from picking the plants, to dying the wool, and then creating an art project.

Come out and learn how to felt a simple scarf using the wet felting process with plant dyed wool and silk. 

Part 2: Nuno Felted Scarf Workshop ( classes can be taken separately)

This is a perfect beginner project  to inspire your love of felting if you have not wet felted before .

In this Workshop we will be making a felted scarf from the wool and silk previously dyed in the green and yellow spring color pallet.

Please bring a large and small bath towel that we will use for felting, some knee pads or a small pillow to kneel on,and a plastic squeeze bottle ( empty dish soap bottle)
